Earlier last year I have been hosting multiple Lino printing workshops at The Planetree (planetreenotts.com) on the Beeston Highroad. After being in talks with Shelly Wood (director at Planetree) I was impressed to see such a lovely arts/gift shop that supported the local creatives within Beeston.

The last workshop I hosted was on the 28th of October in 2023, using the upstairs space in the shop we had 2 attendees and spent a couple of hours designing some lovely ideas. A few already had some concepts that were fleshed out ready to transfer onto the lino plate which were carved with good precision.

Here you’ll see some examples of some of the group’s efforts and printed designs. I personally love how the Halloween inspired skulls and toad stalls came out. Lokta paper was used on the skull prints, and some nice crisp white cardstock for the mushrooms. There is a great difference in using different papers/card for printing.

The next class I’ll be hosting will be on the 3rd of February 2024 from 12:00 - 16:00 at The Planetree. Looking forward to a great day of creativity and print making with enthusiastic attendees!
